What the family does...

Ian, my husband and a valued member of Kozy Cottages is a professional Deer Stalker.

His Great-great Grandfather was a Deer Stalker, a sport made popular by Queen Victoria.  He was born in 1844, followed by his son, Ian's Great-Grandfather, born in 1871 and then his Grandfather, born in 1912.  Ian lived with his Grandfather and learnt the tricks of the trade.

Ian is also a member of The Scottish Mountain Rescue, based in Arrochar and is on call 24 hours to assist with any hill walkers who have been injured or lost and is a qualifed medic.  He is a member of our local Fire Service in Strachur so rest assured, you are in safe hands!

The kids love the great outdoors and have swam in the lochs since they were tiny... in all weathers.  They are rarely unwell and I believe their immune systems are so strong because they have always drank hill water and been exposed to this naturally clean environment.

We love exploring, climbing hills and bagging munro's with our dog Amber.  We love swimming and paddleboarding across the loch for a wee drink and lunch.  Boating trips, popping over the islands, swimming with basking sharks and dolphins.

Now and again we do have a weekend in a City - Edinburgh or Glasgow to get our fix of shops and the buzz of city life but after a couple of days we cannot wait to return to our beautiful, peaceful and scenic part of the world and get back to our animals, birds and garden.

We are always on hand to advise and help you to make the most of your holidays and having first hand knowledge can give you reliable information.

We all look forward to welcoming you to our little corner on this amazing Earth.
